Dr. Brian McMahon

Director of Accountability and Research, School District of Indian River County

Brian McMahon, Ph.D., brings over 20 years of experience in education, with 12 focused on accountability and data-driven problem solving. As SDIRC’s lead for accountability, assessment systems, AI, and data services, he designs systems that drive continuous improvement. He built a robust data ecosystem and co-developed a prescriptive school improvement system, helping the district earn three consecutive “A” grades and rise to 5th statewide with Florida’s highest growth rate since 2018–2019. Brian serves on the United Way Board, National Advisory Board for Curriculum Associates, and the Educator Advisory Board for the Evidence-Based AI in Learning Initiative at Boston University.
