Daryl Michel, PhD

Daryl Michel, PhD, consults with organizations nationally and internationally in areas such as instructional coaching and leadership, multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), lesson study, and disciplinary literacy. He is the founder of Be A Change, LLC; coauthor of Student-Focused Coaching (Hasbrouck & Michel, 2022) and Instructional Leadership in Student-Focused Coaching (Michel & Brookhart, 2026); and author of a book chapter in Reading Isn’t Optional: Fulfilling the Promise of Literacy for Secondary Students and other journal articles. In addition to his consulting, he serves as a project manager for The University of Texas at Austin’s The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk.
