Dr. David K. Moore, 2025 Florida Superintendent of the Year and National Superintendent of the Year Finalist, has led the School District of Indian River County for five years, driving transformative, systems-level change. Under his leadership, SDIRC rose from #38 to #5 in state rankings, earned three consecutive “A” grades, doubled its number of “A” schools, and achieved Florida High-Performing District status. Graduation rates climbed to 96%, supported by a strategic focus on coherence, accountability, and high-quality instruction. Moore is nationally recognized for designing scalable systems that elevate leadership, improve outcomes, and foster a culture of excellence across all schools.
