Dr. Kyra Schafte

Dr. Kyra Schafte serves as the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing for the School District of Indian River County, where she leads the districtwide strategy to strengthen public perception, build community trust, and elevate the stories of students, educators, and schools. As the district’s chief storyteller and communications architect, she ensures messaging is clear, timely, and aligned to the work happening in every school across the county. Her work includes building communication capacity across schools, partnering with principals and district leaders to spotlight achievements, and cultivating relationships with families, business and civic partners, and nonprofit organizations to expand the district’s reach and impact.
