Munro Richardson is Executive Director of Read Charlotte, a community initiative launched in 2015 to improve literacy from birth through elementary school in Charlotte, NC. He leads efforts using research, data, and strategic funding to unite families, educators, and partners in advancing early literacy. Munro earned degrees from the University of Kansas, Harvard, and Oxford, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He co-authored Read With Me: Engaging Your Young Child in Active Reading (Rowman & Littlefield, 2018). Munro is married to his high school sweetheart, Teresa, and they have three daughters.
